The Abyssinian Admiral (''Vanessa abyssinica'') is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.〔(Afrotropical Butterflies: Nymphalidae - Tribe Nymphalini )〕 The habitat consists of montane forests. The larvae feed on ''Urtica masaica'' and ''Obetia pinnatifida''.
